Ramadan is up! Muslims (who believes in Islam) fast for a whole month every year from sunrise to sunset. During the fast, they don't eat or drink. The Texas State community is welcomed to come and bring their family and friends. This event will provide a snapshot of the daily life of Muslims during Ramadan, from fasting, learning more about Islam and Muslims to having some great FREE Mediterranean food.

During Fawanis Ramadan, we will have a couple of guest speakers present over Ramadan before breaking the fast with water and dates.  After, if you would like, we will walk to the local Masjid with anyone who would like to watch or experience it! Finally, everyone will walk back to the Thornton International House to enjoy some delicious Mediterranean food.

This is an amazing way to make new friends and learn more about the various cultures represented at Texas State University. This event is free to attend.
