To invite your prospective J-1 Exchange Visitor, please submit the required documents:

1. Confirmation of position secured by Faculty Records - Use form "Request for Approval of Visiting Scholar and Export Control Screening" *

2. Completed and signed TIEC J-1 Exchange Visitor Information Sheet *

ISSS will sign as Official TIEC Campus Representative on Page 2

3. Proof of current funding/financial support in (English Translation is preferred) *

4. Copy of an Invitation Letter from the sponsor or department addressed to the scholar *

5. Copy of the Exchange Visitor’s passport biometrics (identification page) *

6. The scholar's curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé (not necessary for student categories) *

7. Documentation of the scholar's English proficiency *

8. Copies of previous DS-2019s for J-1/J-2 status issued by any other U.S. institutions.

9. Dependents of J-1 Exchange Visitors (J-2 Dependent)- passport copy(s)
