- The Room and Board expense is an average cost of several dorms, including the most and least expensive dorms, plus using the 250 block meal plan.
- Semester Breaks, Summer I and Summer II are derived from averaging living expenses and meal plan.
- Health insurance is based on the annual rate by making two payments, one in fall and one in spring.
- Books, Supplies and Personal Expenses are estimates and include other costs such as transportation, medical etc.

Tuition and Fees* are based on fall 2011 rates:
- Non-residents: $7,146.00 per 12 hrs for undergraduates and $5,832.00 per 9hrs for graduate students
- Residents: $3,390.00 per 12 hrs for undergraduates and $3,015.00 per 9 hrs for graduates
* The International Operations Fee (IOF) is included, which is $60.00 for fall and spring semesters.
Fee Estimates do not include a $30.00 IOF for each summer session or special course fees.
Pre Bridge Students Only - Spring 2012
- Pre-Bridge students always take 4 TSIE classes to earn their english proficiency requirements.
- The average Pre-Bridge student takes 2 semesters to complete the Pr-Bridge program (earn the minimum English proficiency for either Bridge admission or full admission to Texas State).

if you're qualified for a tuition exemption please contact the Student Business Services office. Completed forms must be submitted no later than the official 12th class day of each long semester or the official 4th class day of each summer session.
