International Student Orientation

Students setting in an orientation

What is the international student orientation?

The International Student Orientation is sponsored by the International Office at the beginning of the semester. The purpose of the orientation is to provide international students with information on:

  • maintaining your non-immigrant status
  • medical insurance
  • tax issues
  • employment
  • other issues related to international students.

Important Note:  All newly admitted freshman and undergraduate transfer students must also attend the New Student Orientation offered through the Undergraduate Admissions Office in addition to the International Student Orientation.  These are two separate orientations.
