- School transfer (related to immigration regulations only-not academic)
- Work permission for non-immigrant international students
- Change of educational level (related to immigration regulations only-not academic)
- Change of non-immigrant status to F-1 or F-2 dependent
- Assist with J-1 / J-2 Exchange Visitor process
- Assist with H-1 employment authorization process for Texas State faculty
- Assist with Permanent Residency petitions for Texas State faculty
Please Note: The International Office does not process Permanent Residency petitions for Texas State staff or students. It is recommended that these petitions be handled through a board-certified immigration attorney.

- Staff members are sensitive to the special needs of internationals.
- Staff members act as a liaison with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), departments and offices at Texas State, and the San Marcos community.
