Assistance with immigration processes related to non-immigrant F-1, J-1 and H-1 issues:

  • Program extensions
  • Reinstatement to legal status 
  • School transfer (related to immigration regulations only-not academic)
  • Work permission for non-immigrant international students
  • Change of educational level (related to immigration regulations only-not academic)
  • Change of non-immigrant status to F-1 or F-2 dependent
  • Assist with J-1 / J-2 Exchange Visitor process
  • Assist with H-1 employment authorization process for Texas State faculty
  • Assist with Permanent Residency petitions for Texas State faculty

Please Note: The International Office does not process Permanent Residency petitions for Texas State staff or students. It is recommended that these petitions be handled through a board-certified immigration attorney.
